Join Michael Bathurst and I as we discuss ways to become better prepared for disasters and unplanned events. We can’t be prepared for everything, but we’ll share pragmatic advice for how you can be a little better informed and ready when the next unfortunate event hits. This is not crazy, doomsday prepping, but rather a realistic discussion for normal people. You carry a purse, backpack, or work bag right? Then you are a daily prepper. You have a snow kit or hurricane kit? Then you’re also a prepper. The term prepper has taken a bad rap lately, but it’s the preppers we turn to when disasters and pandemics hit. We can help you lead and ride out these disasters in comfort (well, more comfortable at least).
- Assess the likely risks in your life and area.
- Decide which you want to be better prepared to handle.
- Build a “survival” plan for general challenges or more significant disasters.
- Build up the supplies you will need to survive 3 days, 3 weeks, and eventually 3 months.
- Identify skills you will need and find training or educational sources.
- Revisit, refresh, and restock your plan, skills, and supplies.
